  • AME Church Name & Mission
Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church is a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church

The word African means that the church was organized by people of African descent and heritage. It does not mean that the church was founded in Africa, or that it was for persons of African descent only. This Church values all people regardless of race, sex, ethnicity or national origin.

The church’s roots is of the family of Methodist churches. Began by John and Charles Wesley, Methodism provides an orderly system of rules and regulations and places emphasis on a plain and simple gospel.

Episcopal refers to the form of government under which the church operates. The chief executive and administrative officers of the African Methodist Episcopal denomination are the Bishops of the church.

Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church in Middletown, DE has been in the Middletown Community for over 125 years. It is a Bible-based, God-directed, Christ-centered & Spirit-led Church teaching and preaching the Word of God for all of God's people.

    Our Mission

The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ’s liberating gospel through word and deed. At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Church evolved: that is, to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy through a continuing program of (1) preaching the gospel, (2) feeding the hungry, (3) clothing the naked, (4) housing the homeless, (5) cheering the fallen, (6) providing jobs for the jobless, (7) administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, asylums and mental institutions, senior citizens’ homes; caring for the sick, the shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and (8) encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

  • Sensational Sundays Worship

Greetings to all our website visitors and to the Trinity Church Family!

We pray and trust all is well with each of you and that you are enjoying the freshness of the crisp winter air. We continue to pray that you and your family members are doing well

We pray that you and your family members are enjoying this time of summer with fun, rest and safe travel. Should you be in our area, please come worship with us.

At Trinity, we continue to experience powerful worship experiences and pray that you will get a chance to come share with us. Pastor Alford has been teaching us and preaching with power. the worship experiences have been Spirit-filled as was the day of Pentecost. "And the Lord shall add daily those who will be saved." God is faithful and we continue to witness the manifestation of the power of God! We welcome and invite you to watch for what will happen next.

We thank God for our anointed pastor-teacher.

Our worship experiences continued to be blessed occasions to be in the presence of the Lord. As in the Acts of the Apostles, our numbers increase weekly. Someone gets saved or joins the Household of faith called Trinity.

To God Be the Glory for the Great Things that God has Done!
The move of God is so powerful and we are thankful that God is allowing us to experience it. We thank God for God's presence.

We welcome everyone who seeks to increase their knowledge in God’s Word, and increase their faith. At Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church you will find a fellowship that is rooted in kindness, caring, and the joy of sharing in the goodness of God’s Spirit. Here at Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church we joy in proclaiming that
    We are a Bible-based, God-driven, Christ-centered and Spirit-led Church.
On Wednesday we study The Word.
On Sunday, we celebrate the Word.
On Monday to Saturday we spread the Word.
And then we start all over again.

We are always thankful to God for our visitors. Middletown is growing by great numbers and we are prayerful that many of our visitors will become disciples here at Trinity.

We are thankful that you stopped by our website, but we would be even more blessed if you would come to Trinity and worship with us. We will be so glad to see you and share in the worship experience with you.

God has been so very faithful to us at Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church and we want you be apart of that those blessings.

Worship continues to be more than we could ever imagine. Families are being reconciled. Faith is being renewed. We watch just to see what God is going to do next.

We invite you again to come worship with us so you too can receive the anointing power and experience the presence of Almighty God's Spirit. "Sensational Sundays" at 11AM fall and 10AM during the summer months until September. We also invite you to our "Wonderful Word Wednesdays Bible Study" at 7:00PM.

In 2010, The Trinitarians are reading through the entire Bible. For many this is the first complete reading of the Bible. It has proved to be a tremendous blessing for all who are on this spiritual journey. All are welcomed!

Our sermons since Watch Night have been centered on God teaching us how to reach the next level of Glory. Come hear about how God leads us to that next level. We caution you, however, our worship experiences are contagious. you can ask those who have joined this year alone. If you are seeking a closer relationship with God, please come worship with us and experience for yourself. We pray you would then be moved by God's Spirit to join this family of God and continue to or begin to work out your soul's salvation with us.

If you would like to purchase a copy of our weekly sermons, please contact our church office (302.378.2223). Brother John S. Jordan, Media Ministry Chair.

May God continue to richly bless you in all you do!
